This program encourages the participation of the entire congregation in the work of the church. On Monday nights specified by the Elders, the congregation assembles at the building to work. Some of the projects that we engage in consist of writing care cards, making phone calls, visitation, building repairs, cleaning, painting, and so much more. The church provides a meal for those who will be taking part in the work. Some meals you might see on this night are Spaghetti, Chili, Gumbo, or maybe even hotdogs and hamburgers. This informal atmosphere provides the work environment we need to effect the greater result in our mission and ministry.

This program is geared for children between the grades of K - 5. This age group is to young to be a part of the "notorious" teens, and to old to be in the nursery. They are caught in a staging area. Well, now they have a group to call their own. The group meets on a monthly basis at the pulpit minister's house to hear a bible story and play games. A good balance of bible and play makes for a wonderful day over at the "preacher's house." Encourage your kids to come for the fun and fellowship of other young disciples.

Over the centuries the Lord's church has fashioned routines and traditions that often neglect the camaraderie needed for a unified church. Formalism and ritualism plague the family climate essential to the overall health of the church. In our quest to restore New Testament Christianity our efforts turn to the building block of God's family -- the book of Acts. Acts reveals the pattern needed to build and develop mature Christians (2:42-47; 4:32; 20:7). This letter allows us to see our brethren in the habit of sharing quality time together, obviously soaking up the nourishment needed to build strong families. The additional element of an informal atmosphere conducive for study and discussion is exposed. Our Family day is a sincere effort to get back to the basics of the bible, where time schedules take the back seat to our spiritual and physical needs. We share a meal together, some sing songs of praise together, others play together, but fundamentally, we are together. A time to share each others burdens, and a time to see each other as we are.

On the 3rd Saturday of the month you will find the men of the church gathering around the table for a tasty breakfast here at the building. It is a time for fellowship, devotion, discussion and prayer. Our time is limited, but we always enjoy centering our thoughts on Christ and the brethren as we begin our daily activities.

The ladies of the church are busily involved with caring and serving activities such as planning and serving special meals; disbursing food to the needy, cards and visitation; ladies' area-wide events; Tender-Care Baskets for hospitals and widows; ladies' Bible classes; and ladies' Night out.
The Ladies' Night Out is a congregation of church women and their guest at local restaurants on a monthly basis. Special programs of interest are planned and presented at this time.
The purpose of Ladies' Monthly planning meetings is to keep focus on programs or services needing our attention. Using a business-style agenda, women meet at Jo Ann Mills' home in a casual atmosphere where they sit around and plan, as they share a meal together. Many good works are generated at these meetings and women are able to keep up with all the works of the church in which they might wish to become involved.
We believe in the importance of the role of women to the church.
Our motto is:
"At all times, adhere to our leadership and follow Christ's example. To keep balance and order in our lives by organizing activities so the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. When we know this: our part of church growth is spurred onward and upward. 1 Timothy 2:9-15 Theological basis for roles God assigned to women. Most important passage in doctrinal discussion to woman's role applies to all women in demeanor (adornment and ideal).
